Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Stigandr goes wherever he chooses. While he is at the mercy of the wind, unlike Saira the Drifter, he does not throw himself at it. He waits for the perfect wind to approach before spreading his wings and lifting off. Stigandr travels far and wide across the land—farther than any other Ruda Clan dragon had ever gone before. He has seen and experienced things that the other dragons could only dream of. He is often gone for long stretches of time, anywhere from days to weeks. The dragons worry little for him as he is no threat to anyone and does not need food or water to survive. It is always an exciting event when Stigandr returns to the Ruda Clan as all the dragons eagerly crowd around him to hear what stories he has to tell.
