Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sir Agate de la Bridgehateur is quite foreign, indeed. Many suspect him of coming from a faraway land, and they imagine that anyone from that place is as eccentric as Sir Agate. Rarely seen anywhere near others, he lives in a splendid cave all by himself, hidden away somewhere in the mountains of his clan's territory. He has a strange way of saying things, and he does not welcome visitors, but his cave is so beautiful that many dragons still sneak up there to see it. The whole inside is covered in gigantic, diamond-blue crystals that sparkle and shine. Sir Agate's method of shooing visitors away is to throw rocks at their heads, so only the most daring (and hard-headed) go. One of Lady Kathryn Amethyst's mates, Sir Agate has had only a few children with her, whom he usually disowns for one ridiculous reason or another. Particularly sad is his first daughter, who was gifted to another clan. In his mind she's an anomaly, since she's too brave and unafraid of venturing out of the cave.
