Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

After an accident involving Death mana caused this Split Dragon to rise from her grave, her behavior as an Undead is rather... unique. Roughly half of the Undeads that lurk the cave tend to be aimless, mindless wanderers while the other half become savage, violent monsters. In this case, "Split" doesn't describe just this dragon's breed, but this Undead's behavior as well—one head seems to perpetually be in a haze while the other one tries to attack anything that comes near. This results in this Undead not doing anything some nights while she goes on a rampage on other nights, depending on which head is dominant that night; it appears to alternate between the two. Some of the nocturnal dragons have taken to keeping a close eye on her to make sure they aren't caught off-guard by this pattern being broken.
