Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Awarran is a social male dragon of the Canopy Dragon Horde. He got his name from a species of palm tree commonly found in the rainforest. Awarran, unlike Leaf Spirit, is nicer towards hatchlings and eggs. When a new dragon arrives in the horde, Awarran is always the first to help out. He spends much of his time cheering up depressed dragons and crying hatchlings, and there was never a dragon who didn't smile at his jokes. He is also very air-headed and forgetful, and therefore is rarely trusted with important errands or information.

The only dragon that seems to dislike him is Leaf Spirit. Leaf Spirit hates all dragons, so it isn't a surprise. He visits her nonetheless, trying in vain to cheer her up. Every visit, she ignores him, seemingly pretending that he isn't there. However, if any other dragon attempts to visit, she would claw their eyes out, so many suspect that she likes him.
