Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

SoaringBlue is a lone dragon. He is quiet and strong, and does not care whether or not FloatingStorm is in the sky. He spends all of his time flying and never comes down. He does not need to rest and vows to fly for all eternity, feeling the wind on his scales and wings. For him, flying is life, flying is freedom, flying is everything. Just because he does not care about FloatingStorm that does not mean that he is a fool and he avoids collision with her by hiding whenever she flies by. All of the dragons tell her that he does not fly and he has deformed bones so that she does not go looking for him. SoaringBlue declares that even if he did have deformed bones, he would still fly.
