Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Even though she is named "Dead", people would call her dead anyway. Dead loves to sneak up on people and dragons alike, and bite down on their heads in a lust resembling extreme hunger. A wandering and lost spirit, she roams and is rarely seen by any of the dragon clans on Xythus' scroll. Dead is often confused as to why dragons are scared for their lives that they never venture out at night, as something must move at the pace of a slug in order for her to catch anyone.
