Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

fTolman was bored because he was walking deep in the forest. He spotted something glassy in the bushes. He picked it up, finding it was a Chrono xenowyrm egg. He touched the egg to pick it up and felt some strange magic. He noticed that things were slowing down as if touching the egg or having it near you slowed down time. He ran back to the cave to put the egg in the pile. Normally, it would take years, but since the egg could manipulate time, it only took a few weeks. When it hatched, everyone in the cave could clearly sense a field of strong magic around the dragon. TimeShifter would make time fields that slowed down fTolman's dragons. When the dragon did mature, he would take it on adventures and treasure hunting, using the time field to get in and out of places quickly without being spotted. TimeShifter and fTolman have a very special relationship, and TimeShifter is now his go-to dragon when he ventures.
