Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sorece is exceptional at offensive magic, using devastating spells to ward off any threat to the castle. Out of all the Blacks that live in the castle he is by far the most skilled at sorcery, earning the envy of the others. However, he refuses a higher position, preferring to be lead than to lead. Some don't understand this, but are to afraid to question it.

Well known throughout the castle, Sorece has occasionally been called upon by the Castle Master to do undisclosed jobs beneath the castle, inside the dungeons. If those outside were to know what he has done on the human's request, many would shun him, and others would want to have him killed. Yet, the Black himself wishes he could say no, his dreams and thoughts marred with the sights he's seen and things he's had to do.
