The egg faded away completely; in its place there’s a cute baby dragon. It doesn’t seem to have much substance, though.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Like the rest of her breed, Luna has the power to fade between realities. However, she once accidentally faded into the border between this moment and the next, stopping her from aging even when she realized what she had done and returned. She can now slip back into and out of that border anytime, effectively allowing her to pause time- a skill which has saved her in fights on many occasions. As a result of this power, she spends most of her time fully material, being much more confident than a typical Shadow Walker.
