Blusang Lindwyrms are quite different from most dragons in that they lack hind legs. In this regard, they resemble snakes, and this is evident in their movement; these lindwyrms slither along the ground, using their forelegs to lift them over rougher terrain. Blusangs are a coastal breed, preferring to live along rocky beaches and in seaside caves rather than sandy locations. They are omnivores who graze on seaweed from time to time, although their primary form of sustenance is fish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Silverywingg's egg was gifted to the Sunset Weyr after Mahatnartorian killed her mother among the ocean's waves. Mahatnartorian made a bargain with Wingick (the current alpha) that he was to receive Silverywingg back after she grew up and had matured, in order to be his mate.

Through the years, she grew a deep love for learning and beauty, and created spells with the help of a Magi Dragon. When Silverywingg became of age, she rejected the terms of the agreement, and went into hiding within one of the Magi Dragon's magical dimensions. Using her quick thinking and wit, she has still managed to evade Mahatnartorian, who grew furious at her evasions.
