Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When the elders of this cave found the hide room they didn't realize what the little stones were. However their shape resembled an egg, so the kind Driell took them. Just after the sunset she and her husband felt the stone turning into shell; so they remembered an ancient story about a dragons' couple, a male Guardian and his Stone mate, who dared fighting an evil powerful wizard. The magician cursed them, and smiling he foretold the couple's offsprings will merge both their parents' talents. Now the elder of this cave knew how the curse works, in fact since they was only hatchling the youngs show an outstanding protective attitude during the night to compensate the daytime petrify inactivity. The biggest of them deserved the name of a mythical giant: Goliath, and he soon become the most untiring and dedicated cave's protector. His heart is huge but it needs time to show his feelings, especially about his beloved Elysa, 'cause he feared forcing her in a difficolt situation.
