Arsani Dragons place a heavy emphasis on community. They are born with the innate ability to sense the emotions of others in their own species, and therefore take great care to ensure the happiness of their brethren. It’s not uncommon for them to give gifts and affection to those around them without warning. This good-natured giving extends far beyond the reaches of their own kind. Anyone who gains the friendship of a Arsani Dragon is likely to receive food, pretty rocks, and occasionally even flowers at regular intervals. The shared connection of the Arsani Dragons also allows them to draw on each other’s strength when performing feats of magic, making them some of the strongest spell casters yet discovered.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Warm and giving, Elamus is more responsible then her older twin sister, Igavine, though she has a tendency to be bossy. As an egg, she was found with her sister by the human girl named Flight. Elamus enjoys seeing others happy and often puts others ahead of herself, especially when it comes to Igavine. She considers herself as her sister's keeper, and even as hatchlings Elamus was constantly on the look out for her older twin. She cares very much for her other "Valentine Siblings", and despite being the youngest of all the hatchlings in Flight's cave around Valentine's Day, Elamus is one of the most responsible. Her best friend is Carina Nuria, an Arsani dragon who was raised by Ember Nuria alongside 5 other hatchlings in the tallest mountain in Elgar. After living in the Mountains of Elgar for most of their life, Elamus and Igavine left their nursery home and now live beyond the borders of Elgar.
