Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Skribblu likes to run, and he's good at it. He's proud to be the fastest of all the dragons he knows, and although this has been proven many times over, he's always willing to prove it again. The first thing he does when he meets a new dragon is challenge them to a race. While this does sometimes help him gain new friends, many dragons don't realize that racing helps Skribblu bond with other dragons and feel like he's too competitive.
