Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dilettanta is the offspring of a gold dragon and a black dragon. She has inherited magic and beauty, as well as a love for those things. Even if she wasn't a frozen hatchling, her mind would still be forever young. She loves to learn, whether it be by asking questions or watching and exploring the world around her. Dilettanta is quite an artistic hatchling. She scorches the ground with her fiery breath, and creates beautiful patterns and shapes. She also creates art with her tail, feet, snout and magic. She has wonderful magic skills. Whenever she is mad, instead of getting her anger out in destructive ways, she gets it out in artistic ways. She strongly disproves of unnecessary violence. Violence causes destruction to the fascinating things of the world, both on purpose and accidentally. She also believes that one can feel accomplished in different ways rather than just beating things up. Her mother is a black dragon, and black dragons are supposed to be warriors, so it's an odd mindset
