When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon's first encounter with humans came when he was just a hatchling, stranded in a tide pool and watching the water evaporate around him with growing terror. It was then that two human sailors discovered him, and rather than killing the small dragon squirming fearfully in the puddle beneath him, they placed him back in the sea, knowing full well he might grow into a ship-smashing monster. However, several years later, those sailors rediscovered him--and found that he was quite fond of sinking pirate ships, but loved nothing more than chasing playfully along behind good sailor's! When not chasing away pirates or keeping a wary eye out for hostile sea dragons--chief among them the infamously dubbed Wyrmhole--he enjoys resting his head on ships and docks so that people can pet him, and romping in the waves with his mate, a guardian dragon who was adopted and raised by the men of the very ship upon which the two rescuers from his past serve.
