Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rmun is named after his owner's good friend. As a hatchling, Rmun was abandoned and neglected and perhaps involved in a Zombie experiment. But Rmun's namesake rescued him and she and her friend nursed him back to health, with of course some help from Krestomancii and Branwyen. Now healthy and fully grown, Rmun loves to run and race like any other Whiptail. But he's a kind, thoughtful dragon and often helps Branwyen with her seemingly endless task of tending the sick because of what happened to him. Neglect may have left Rmun's growth slightly stunted, but it didn't stunt his heart.
