Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gem that is Polished may not look like it but she's an incredible hunter. She is silent and quick and her skills are legendary. Gem once took down a giant elephant by herself! That story is very popular among the hatchlings.

She's also a Rune Hunter. A Rune Hunter is a specialized dragon trained in the art of finding ancient relics and gems. She once journeyed to the other side of the world. Gem found something no one had ever seen before. She found an ancient bronze temple filled with magically crafted crystal statues of every known dragon. It appeared humans once worshiped dragons and depended on them. Gem was amazed. She went back to The Cave and told her fantastic story. Lightning that Lights the Sky knew she was not lying. Gem was revered and praised for her hard work. That was her first Rune Hunter discovery and she couldn't be prouder.

She is single and is the twenty-fifth dragon accepted into The Cave.
