Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lapislazith DawnFright (after the gemstone: Lapis Lazuli) was adopted into the clan cave as its 179th dragon, found by The Clan Mother abandoned and alone amidst a mountain of broken and tattered dragon eggs. While his development progressed without difficulty, there exists a fear within his soul that cannot be abated, and although many have tried to soothe his trepidation, it seems to pursue him relentlessly with each new day. Feverishly, he tries with all his might to escape his fate; being trapped and immobilized with the morning light of dawn, desperately seeking to deny his nature, and avoid the truth of his existence. The clan elders have assembled, on more than one occasion, to address his endless fright, hoping that their wise and timeless advice may help to calm and guide him. Sadly, to no avail, and their counsel goes unheeded. All the others of his kind offer comfort as best they can, but fear his obsession may one day cause him madness. With misery and dread, he waits.
