Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As soon as his egg was turned, Sir Edgeworth has been looked upon with a mixture of unease, caution, and trepidation, though not quite passing into fear or terror. He doesn't look any different from the other vampires and he certainly hasn't done anything to warrant the public's concern, but many dragons absolutely refuse to go near him, despite his perfect gentlemanly manners. In their defense, there is a slightly foreboding and "off" feeling about him. His eyes are dark and sharp, and on the rare occasion that he speaks, his cool, precise tone never fails to kill all conversation. Though it is strange for a dragon to wear human clothing, Sir Edgeworth wears a short silk top hat and bow tie, and like himself, they are always immaculate and trim. Several dragons insist that he is possessed, and though the majority of the public will not come out and say it, they wholeheartedly agree.
