Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Given that the only other local nocturnal dragons are vampires, Senparaska often finds herself with time on her hands and nobody to keep her company. To pass the time, she's learned to imitate the local owls, who are all quite interested in the dragon that can hoot back. For the other dragons, the resulting dialogue is usually soothing, unless the barn owls are visiting that night. Then, they stuff moss in their ears and mutter about the chorus of "doomed souls." Senparaska is working to help both dragons and humans alike to realize how beneficial owls are. This is an easier task than it would be if she favored, say, bats, but there's still a fair amount of superstition she must fight against.
