Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being a Christmas dragon, Pax Mistletoe prefers cool weather and lives in the Scandinavian region of the world.  His line of sires have lived for generations in this part of the world and as Spirits of Christmas, they have always disliked conflict.  Pax Mistletoe and his ancestors have, since antiquity, roamed Scandinavia during the Christmas season trying to ensure peace during this time of the year.  In doing so, Pax Mistletoe uses the plant of peace, mistletoe, according to Scandinavian custom which says that if enemies meet in the forest under mistletoe, they have to lay down their arms and maintain a truce until the next day.  This custom has led to the Christmas tradition of kissing under the mistletoe.
