Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very light and enjoys bouncing all around.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Walking on Air and Clouds, or Walker, as his friends call him, is a strange dragon. Even compared to some Balloon dragons, he is very small and light, and he can often be seen floating far above the treetops, staring at the clouds. On the rare days the other dragons manage to entice him inside, he usually spends the whole day moping and refuses to play with the other hatchlings. His unusual fixation on the clouds eventually lead rise to his naming. He likes to play with the other Balloon dragons when they go as high as he does, although they rarely do.
