Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Eclipse of Lightning is not the brother of Amberosa, as most people think. He is actually his cousin. Strange, as he was found abandoned by his present owner. He has been thoroughly accepted into the clan as a member. He is the heir to the throne and is the second-in-command. He is also the mate of Mia Judith The Second. When the clan is hunting, he oversees the clan, as Amberosa wants to see how he copes with power. He makes sure everyone is hunting and is not harmed by wild dragons or other humans. He has three children, all of which faced the same trial as he did: Finding a caring master, as Eclipse had. They eventually did as well, but almost died. They were raised and then suddenly abandoned, with almost a day left to live. They found a most loving owner after that though.
