Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It spends its time pouncing on insects.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. It is also now covered in brightly colored stripes.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Snowdrift's stark white body makes him easily stand out in the forest where he likes to play, so wild dragons can easily see him and attempt to kill him. What he lacks in strength, however, he makes up for in sheer speed. His reflexes are freakishly good, even for a dragon, and there has never been an altercation he could not get out of. Snowdrift is a bit arrogant because of his ability to cheat death, so adult Striped dragons must always accompany him to make sure he doesn't get into a situation he can't worm out of.
