Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hides in dark spaces and lunges at anything that gets too close. Small piles of bones are accumulating outside of its “lairs”...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lizard Borden is an orphan (which explains why no parents are listed in her lineage). Her mother died when Lizzie, as she was called by her sister Emma, was still very young. Her father Andrew was a strict dragon and forbade her to play with other hatchlings; her step-mother Abby neglected Lizzie. On a fateful day, Andrew and Abby Borden were found dead in River Fall Cave. Rumors had it that Lizzie was seen with an axe the day before, but nobody could prove it was her who murdered her parents. A scandal to some, justice to others, Lizard Borden continues to live her life on the hill, hunting careless humans and burning their clothes to keep the cave warm. From her experience, dresses burn the best.
