Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

It is an odd day indeed when one wakes to the sound of rain pattering against the ground outside, echoing throughout vast cave, only to spy the silhouettes of the twin cheese dragons dancing soundlessly amongst puddles.

When Cheese Flies is the eldest of the twins. It is unknown exactly where it came from; it simply appeared amongst the hatchlings one muggy afternoon, being batted good-naturedly about before it was spotted and liberated. It has never strayed far from the hotter and damper corners of the cave since then, and likewise has never spoken a word, seemingly unable to.

The only time the twins can be seen doing something apart from rolling about together is during heavy, humid rainstorms; throwing back their heads and baring their cheesy little fangs, they flare their delicate wings and dance for entirely unknown reasons, splashing in the puddles just outside the main entrance to the cave.
