Pillow Dragons are covered in enormous amounts of fur affectionately referred to as fluff. Despite their deceivingly large size, they can still fly even with such tiny wings because their bodies are remarkably light. Pillow Dragons have a habit of sleeping for up to eighteen hours a day, waking only in short bursts. During their few waking hours, they take the time to hunt for prey. Once a pillow dragon becomes an adult, its fur grows very slowly. Pillow dragon fur is used to make very expensive and valuable cloth known as “dragon cashmere.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Makurachi was found as an egg by lost knights, and was taken in (originally) to be the pillow, pet and friend of the crown prince. Having been completely raised by humans, Makurachi has next to no hunting ability and is hand-fed by his owner on a daily basis. Nonetheless, he retains some of his innate cat-like personality, and essentially does what he likes within the palace gardens. On one such occasion, he destroyed the queen's prided cherry blossom tree by using it as a scratch post, and was about to be executed for this until his owner intervened. Due to this incident, it has become public knowledge that the prince is "more fond of Makurachi than he is of women" and a number of factions within the palace are said to be plotting the dragon's assassination in order to encourage the prince to produce an heir. Oblivious to all this, the prince continues to use Makurachi as his fluffy, warm and mobile "pillow and duvet" set, and considers him his only confidant and best friend.
