Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "Beauty" in Japanese. She is one of the many daughters of Mamosuke and Emi, who love their beautiful and shy little girl. She's like most Nocturne dragons, and sleeps during the day and is awake only at night. While she can never fully appreciate the sunlight, she loves softly glowing things. That's the first thing that she noticed about Ishio, how his hide reflected the moonlight so beautifully. He was out at night for a festival, and he happened to catch her eye. He was the most handsome dragon that Asami decided to go and introduce herself, even though she was nervous. After talking for awhile, it turns out they had plenty in common. It also turns out, Ishio thought that she was beautiful as well. They began a sweet and loving courtship soon after. Ishio started staying up late to be with her, and eventually became entirely nocturnal just to be with her. They're a little bit of an odd couple, but they make it work. They love each other so much, and they always will.
