Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Krin'lar is the odd dragon out in regards to the warriors within his clan. Where his mate is boisterous and enjoys the challenge of battle, he is calm and quiet, killing any threat with deadly efficiency. Where the main warrior in his clan is strong and vicious, Krin'lar uses stealth and cunning to attack. Many think of him as gentle because of his quiet ways, yet the swift and silent manner in which he defends them can only be called lethal. More than one dragon has pondered the strangeness of this male as they watch him play so tenderly with his young one after dismembering the latest threat to their safety in such a casual way.
