White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Carwynn's first day as an apprentice alone at the cave without her mentor, the famed Gwynauria, was a complete disaster. Carwynn knew quite a bit about basic herbs for small scapes and bruises, which is why she thought she could handle it when Gwyn announced that she needed the day off to collect more herbs, some of them exotic. Almost as soon as Gwyn left, a little egg was brought to Carwynn that had grown a soft shell. Using her magic she covered it with a cloud of fog. A hatchling had a thorn in its pad; another had a little wound on its tail from fighting. Carwynn's mind blanked on what herb to use. She wrapped them in cobwebs and made them rest in the nusery, "No more playing today." she had said. Then Lyfrim came to her with a stomach ache. He had eaten too much food on a dare from Greydron. Carwynn gave him what looked like chamomile but was really yarrow. Needless to say, Gwyn had a lot of work to do when she came back.
