Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rylyf never was one to care too much about family. That is until his little sister Leonore hatched from her egg. She always was a bit of a scatterbrained loon according to the rest of the family but despite that—or maybe because of that—he absolutely adored her.

When she decided she was a winged boa constrictor, he played along. When she claimed that all the sky tasted of marmot marshmallows, he supported her. When she declared all Neotropical dragons were really just bananas made into dragons (while Balloons were peaches, Mimics were plums and Spring dragons obviously apples), Rylyf was the one who discovered a jungle only a few flight days away from their parental home where she could live with others such as herself.

Although now living with a different clan himself he stays in contact with Leonore. He recently begun to worry though when she started signing her letters with "Nameless Here For Evermore" and wonders if he might need to check up on her in person once again.
