Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Rsaza is a mean-spirited sorceress whose leisure activity of choice is finding orphaned eggs and imbuing them with a number of horrible spells designed to turn the hatchling inside into a twisted nightmare, weak and weak-willed. 'Experimenting,' she calls it. None of these hatchlings have ever survived, though: they tend to starve in their eggs, too weak to hatch. This doesn't dissuade her, and she's even begun finding more than one egg at a time to Experiment upon. She's also very good at holding a grudge, always managing to invent a creative punishment for dragons who make her angry.
