And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Black Shimmmering Mist fell in love with Dark Sun Ddriag and couldn't stand growing up while he was forever young, so she requested that she be frozen. Her human friend consented and cast a spell over her, allowing her to remain with her love through all time.

Her best friend is Little Lady Freeze, but she is also friends with Seriha, and BlueDanub, the first frozen hatchlings. She is one of the few dragons who will speak with the vampire, I Bite Because I'm a Dorkface, and the zombie hatchling, Zombie of Gold. Because of this she is on the council of elders as the ambassador of the undead dragons.
