Plated Colossus Dragons are one of the largest dragon species. These huge brutes are notorious bullies—they prefer to steal food from other dragons rather than finding it for themselves. As their thick hides are impervious to most forms of physical attack, Plated Colossi simply ignore the other dragons’ protests, or lash the offending dragon with their club-like tail, which can easily break a limb. Plated Colossi have slow metabolisms and do not need to eat often, but they may consume nearly half their body weight in one feeding. These dragons are not incredibly clever and any discussion with them will often center around eating.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Colo (his nickname) is a pretty standard Colossus. He's massive, a bully, and loves any and every kind of meat. What sets him apart from others of his breed, however, is his devotion to his mate, Peperomia. Like other Colossi, Colo is not very intelligent, but he knows a good deal when he sees one. Peper's sister, Beverley, is mated to one of the Zyurangers, which is a group of draconic superheroes that travel the world to fight off evil. Having mated with one of them, Beverley and her family by extension have risen in status within their community and tend to be revered by others. Colo saw this and wanted to get on-board. Peper, who is notoriously lazy and self-centered, made a deal with Colo. In exchange for his services as a bodyguard, she would be his mate, share her family's status with him, and give him all the food he could ever need. Since then, the two have remained partners. Any time Peper is being threatened or arguing with someone, she calls upon Colo to step in.
