Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The story of this male's life is a sad one, a tale of a will too weak to overpower nature. Booted from the nest at a young age due to an overly aggressive father, he spent many long months roaming the wilderness alone--until he encountered another young Seragamma, one similarly dispossessed. The two became fast friends, living, hunting, and playing together, with this male, the older and larger of the two, doing his best to protect his small friend. But when adolescence set in, an inexplicable and pervasive hatred towards the younger male began to set in, until one day he attacked his small comrade in a fit of violent rage, his father's personality and his breed's aggressive nature proving too hard to resist. He drove away the only friend he had ever possessed, and then took to living alone in the mountains, thinking of little but food and females--a dark shadow of the creature he once was.
