Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tatterene stumbles out at night and feeds on the first bit of meat she encounters. Once her hunger is sated, she turns to her true desire—dancing. Lithe and graceful when alive, she tries to move as she did before. Sadly, undead anatomy does not have the reflexes of the living.

     Previously fast twirls are now flapping slow turns; leaps are now just heavier footsteps; once smooth movements are jerkier. Even so, as she practices in the moonlight, there is something captivating about her performance.

     Someday she hopes to find a partner willing to dance with her.
