Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sweet Delicate, named Sweet by the other dragons in his cave, is a dragon with a kind nature and a very colourful imagination. He loves to play pretend, and often tries to mimic the behaviour of other species of dragons. Sweet has a very strange illusion power. When a dragon looks at him, they will either at once think of him as one of the prettiest creatures on Earth, or they will see him as hideously ugly. It is said that the ones who see him as beautiful will end up coming into a great deal of wealth later in life, and the ones who see his ugly side will end up having a slightly longer lifespan than other dragons of their species. In Sweet's case, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.
