Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sapphirezz IcingBreath (after the gemstone: Sapphire) was adopted into the clan cave as its 201st member, a gruff and chilling addition to the Mystal Clan. His masculinity radiates from him like heat from flame, yet his icing breath can still the very soul to near abandon. He has little patience with the hatchlings of the clan cave, and even less with humans, the singular exception being The Clan Mother herself. He enjoys his talents and magical skills with the use of cold and ice, and seems to freeze things for his own simple amusement. The clan elders worry that someday he might turn his frigid breath toward one of the younglings, and so, they do not object that he prefers a solitary existence, and they encourage others to leave him be as much as dragonly possible. It is rumored that he labors daily to create an ice castle manifestation high above the clan cave which will one day serve as his home in the heavens, far away from perceived intruders.
