Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sotomar is quite ambitious. She wants to be dragon president, and on top of that, the first female one. She hungers to be the first dragon to the moon and back, the first daydream drake to go deep into the abyss of the ocean, the first to tie three knots in her tail. Yes, her dreams go way out there and to her, are more reachable then anything else in the world.

Only problem is, she believes that because she sees herself as those things, she will automatically get that goal. And if she doesn't, she will only whine and wonder why. The others don't say a word, hoping she will learn for herself. The best dreams in the world are the ones you work for for yourself, not the ones handed to you on a silver platter.
