It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Glow Whip is a very independent dragon. She does not go around asking others for help or even ideas. She hates to rely on others and become a burden to them. Therefore, she finds it very hard to accept help from others. However, she has no trouble at all with giving others help. She is very understanding, yet impatient, and easily feels exesparated with others. She is even-tempered. When helping others, she gives everything she has to help them. Since she does not bother to ask anyone for ideas or help when in danger, she usually challenges herself to think of a way to overcome the problem. She can be skeptical sometimes and doesn't really believe in the existence of the supernatural. As her name suggests, her whip-like tail and feelers can glow to her will. They can be as bright as the sun if she wanted them to be.
