Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Rezemess is a daughter of the mighty guardian and the leader of the group of avatars of change that dwell in the area of the clan's land. Among the dragons of the clan, these powerful dragons are revered as 'keepers of the balance'. It is said that their task is to keep both creation and destruction and the balance of the natural world in order... all sorts of problems might result IF one or the other were to gain the upper hand for too long. It is also widely rumored that Rezemess has the power to effect change in the destinies and the physical forms of others. For that reason, the favor of her little group is frequently sought by those wishing to alter something about themselves. These mysterious dragons are not so easily found as those who seek them might wish, however, and their unpredictable natures often means that changes wrought by them may or may NOT be for the better. SOME tales even claim that the avatars of change amuse themselves by the mischievous use of their powers.
