Coral Pygmy Wyverns are coastline vagrants, dominant in their ecosystems. They spend most of their time swimming around shallow coral atolls, snacking on the creatures that make their homes there. Don’t be fooled by their small size—these tiny dragons pack a ferocious punch; they can be painful to sharks, dragons, and other substantially larger predators. They are, unsurprisingly, difficult to integrate into human society.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Encrust is a bit more down-to-earth and tame compared to her savage Coral relatives. She's more cold than anything, avoiding others as opposed to actively get into fights with them. She is known for her brutal insults, however. In addition to her more frigid demeanor, Encrust is also significantly smarter than most of her family. She's a great observer, picking up on tells and traits of others that she can use to her advantage. It's easy to know when she's annoyed with somebody because she'll open her mouth. Encrust can't seem to say anything nice. Even when it seems like she's complimenting someone, it's always full of sarcasm or back-taloned in some way. Her insults can be truly cruel and targeted. She pulls no punches and makes it perfectly crystal clear that she wants nothing to do with anyone. Her verbal abuse is not limited to randoms, though, it extends to her family as well. Needless to say, Encrust and the rest of her wicked family do not have a good relationship.
