Falconiform Wyverns are normally shy creatures. However, when approached, they often feel threatened, and the flames along their bodies leap higher. Females tend to be smaller than males, though Falconiform Wyverns are typically rather large overall. They use their size to their advantage by hunting smaller dragons. The Falconiform’s graceful, swooping dives are said to resemble birds of prey. Falconiforms are largely solitary dragons that only meet in order to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lone Flames, along with the Brute dragon named Mistress of Battle and the Frostbite dragon named Queen of Frostbite, was discovered one day by a small clan of dragons who dubbed themselves 'The Sea's Kings'. Having no name at the time, the leader of the clan (being an Undine male titled The Ocean's Ruler) decided that the trio had to earn names through actions, and if they didn't they were to be driven away. Lone Flames was the last of the three to be named, and was given her name due to her solitary nature and shyness towards most other dragons. However, she sticks relatively close to the other two dragons she was found with, and the three are commonly called the 'Solitary Trio' for their tendencies to stay away from the other dragons.
