This hatchling appears to be... dead?

Perhaps not. It seems to be active during the night.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bo's Letale Bambino's name in Italian translates to 'deadly child'. This red-eyed female hatchling isn't your typical vampire. She wants more than blood...she wants power! And Bo's Letale Bambino won't rest until she has some sort of control over someone...or even something! Late at night, she practices on the other frozen hatchlings, slinking into their dens. Her red eyes flash them awake, and she threatens to bite them if they don't do what she says. Bo's Letale Bambino could easily be described as evil, but she does have a soft spot for something only she knows...flowers.
