Witchlight Dragons are silent, secretive beasts that haunt the most remote corners of the wilderness. They beguile their unsuspecting prey into peril by assaulting their perceptions of reality and stoking the fires of paranoia with masterfully-conjured illusions. Unwary travelers have been led astray by the soft, inviting glow of their eyes amidst a sea of encroaching darkness, never to be seen again. Those that survive a Witchlight Dragon’s psychic onslaughts do not escape unchanged: some believe that the apparitions these dragons summon to tempt or torment their victims awaken them to hidden truths about themselves.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Razza's tale starts with the love she has for her mate, Haury. Though shy and secretive, Razza watches her mate from the shadows like a guardian. Haury is a cheerful but dumb balloon dragon who gets in a lot of danger that Razza secretly shields him from, and one day he went right into a human's orchard. Knowing the danger of humans, Razza immediately sought out and "convinced" the orchard's farmer into believing Razza was a demigod. What started with the farmer grew as more people found out about the farmer's delusions and had to be manipulated. When she found herself with a solid group of humans leaving offerings to her and praying to the woods where she lived, she hatched a plan. She used that initial group of humans to indoctrinate and radicalize other humans into their beliefs until Razza was the sacred deity of a human cult. She commanded the cult to create a closed community and take care of the orchard, all while sweet Haury was none the wiser to his distant mate's dark deeds.
