Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Allthe has very weird idea about the fair folk. While every dragon knows that the fay are an ancient and alien people who are capricious and all in all not to be trifled with, she insists that they are actually short and cute and cuddly and very hard working. She always tells hatchlings these stories about how they work tirelessly to help the Christmas dragons to make all the presents and gifts in time for the holidays. The other dragons are pretty worried what will happen if one of the hatchlings approaches one of the beautiful folk in a bad mood. The little one might expect a present just to find himself turned into a cabbage—or worse.
