Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. The Ruby was once a very talented and cheerful dragon, but this soon changed. Because she was so reliable many dragons asked her to do various tasks, many being very tedious to complete. This wore her body out quickly, and even now she is still trying to recover mentally and physically. As soon as The Ruby realized that everyone was just using her for their own convenience she became gloomy and inactive. The Ruby basically disappeared. She never came out of her lair so the dragons (mainly the ones that used her) brought what she needed to survive, yet there was no interaction. Although there is one dragon that managed to open her up a little. His name is Walker of Thee Shadows and his abilities make it easy for him to slip into her lair. The Ruby actually enjoys his company quite well, but it was hard to admit it. Her mind keeps telling her to not trust anyone, nevermind him, but her heart said it all. She doesn't want to be stuck in her cave anymore. It was time to let her grudge go.
