Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It almost never stops chirping.

And look! It has gotten bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

User Description

Gnarnar was frozen because of a recent worrying trend in her owner's eyes. It seems that she and several other young dragons have been inheriting spinal kinking, which would prove fatal if she were to grow up. Because of this, her owner has decided to magically halt her growth as it also opens an avenue of study into what exactly causes the spinal kinks. Despite her troubles, Gnarnar is a happy, otherwise-healthy dragon, and her constant shrieks of enthusiasm and begging for food prove she's normally developed for her age.
