Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Thought to be an odd hunk of metal, Mavesto's egg was chanced upon by a tired old quarryman on lunch break. The quarryman was a simple soul; too tired of his work to notice the true nature of the object, he decided to stash it away in his pack to sell back home for a humble profit. Imagine his surprise when one morning, opening his bag to retrieve a bite of breakfast, he found the thing in pieces! Examining the smooth inner layer of the shards, the quarryman shook his head and laughed at his own foolishness-- this was no metal, but a dragon egg. The quarryman carried the squirmy, energetic hatchling back home to his granddaughter, who took a shining to it immediately, naming it Mavesto after a magician in one of her favorite books. In time the girl became a magician herself, with Mavesto as her quirky reptilian partner, dazzling the audience with flashes of his iridescent, patinated scales. His charming performances earned him the nickname "Rainbow Mirror" among his fans.
