Her egg was simply there one day, and when she hatched, no one decided to make a fuss about her not being a dragon. So she stayed, growing up among the hatchlings. This naturally led to some confusion: Miss Clucksy (as Chandranath called her) knows in her tiny chicken soul she is a dragon. She just doesn't understand what type of dragon she is. She eats like a Mint, but she has wings like a White. She tries on traits—as she understands them—of any type of dragon she could find, but none of them have worked yet.

At some point, she thought that since the Pygmy Polum was the only dragon she could look at in the eyes, they were the same sort of dragon. And, since he was the only male of that type of dragon around, she quickly became infatuated with him. She follows him around, fussing over him like, well, a mother hen. Despite the fact that nothing irritates Polum more than her attention, she seems determined to be with her un-feathered sweetie.
